Preo is a mobile ordering app servicing high volume bars, restaurants, stadiums, theaters, and hotels.

We are seeking Spring/Summer 2015 interns to join our New York team and help us ramp up as we approach our first major growth inflection. This will be an incredible experience for anyone interested in high growth technology startups as the work you will be doing will actually build the foundation for the future operations as the company expands into new markets. (Yes, you can put that on your resume.)

Our growth will be reflective of the work that our small but growing team puts in. Needless to say, being part of a small team during its’ growth and fundraising is incredibly educational and opens you up to a network you probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Not to mention, it’s a decent story to tell your next employer.

Applicants should have a near obsessive compulsive need to create efficiency in everything they do. Operations management is a tough role because you are constantly refining your processes to make them better. What was a stretch goal last week is too slow or wasteful this week. Must be incredibly organized and capable of staying on top of a calendar. We’ll teach you the best systems to use and you’ll be a pro by the end of the internship.

Available to work out of the Preo NYC office at least 1 day a week though most work will likely be remote.

Role Description:
Preo is operational in several venues in the NYC area. Fifteen of these venues will be going through a testing pilot to run different marketing experiments. We are looking for a couple of people with interests in startups/operations to help us manage these accounts. This position will require some travel and at least one day of remote/in-office scheduling. You will be working directly with the director of operations to ensure that everything runs smoothly during the pilot phase.

Responsibilities include: – Visiting venues to make sure that necessary marketing materials are being distributed. – Working with venue owners and general managers to collect feedback about the technology, hardware, marketing, and general comments/complaints. – Developing/updating call/on-premise visit schedules with general managers. – Working with marketing team on material development and order forecasting. – Working with engineering team to build tools that simplify the operations process.
