Android Engineer

at Mitoo in San Francisco

We are looking for an experienced Android engineer to build and maintain our app.

About Us
Mitoo is an online network of sports teams, players, leagues, clubs and governing bodies. We take away all the nonsense that sports parents and players have to go through by providing solutions to leagues and giving players what they need, in their hand, when they need it.

Since our beginnings in London, we’ve done Seedcamp (UK) and 500 Startups (SF), raised well over $1M in funding, and moved to Vegas to begin the process of scaling up. Having been here for just over a year we’re on the move again, this time it’s to San Francisco to raise our A round, and become a truly global company.

Despite everything we’ve achieved so far, we’re a team of just eight people so if you join us you’ll have the chance to make a big impact and take on big responsibility very quickly.

The Work
We are organising and contextualising the world’s amateur sports data.

For mobile development this means:
- Taking the lead on building a native app to replace our PhoneGap app.
- Integrating with our internal API, as well as having input into its further development.
- Coming up with, and implementing features to increase engagement across the Mitoo platform.
- Implementing beautiful user interfaces/experiences.

However, everyone contributes everything they can to all areas of the company, so you’ll have the opportunity to have input into everything from frontend dev, to marketing strategy (if you want it).

We are in Las Vegas right now, but will all be living and working in San Francisco by November, and we want you to do the same!

If you're allowed to work in the US that’s great news. If not, and you happen to be British, let's still talk!

You should have a computer science degree, as well as experience engineering, releasing and supporting Android applications. You should be excited about joining a funded startup that’s still small, but about to get really big.

Ideally you would have a couple of years of professional experience and be familiar with Git, but our priority is finding an enthusiastic CS person with a passion for all things Android. You should want to get stuck in, work hard, and have lots of fun doing it.
